The magnitude 7.4 earthquake that struck Colombia on August 10 mobilized FutbolTech from the first hours. After checking on the children, young people, families, coaches, and teams we support in the country, we focused our efforts on emergency humanitarian assistance and support for affected communities.
This is how We Stand with Colombia began: a campaign bringing together local organizations, companies, and international allies to address urgent needs in Chocó, Risaralda, and Valle del Cauca.

How did FutbolTech respond during the first week?
Our first priority was to check on our own community. In the days following the earthquake, we stayed in close contact with our teams and partner organizations in Colombia to understand the situation of each program firsthand.
We confirmed that there were no lives lost or major impacts among the children, young people, coaches, and families involved in our sports programs. With that verification complete, we were able to concentrate on the humanitarian emergency and the communities that needed immediate support.
A new phase then began: listening to communities, identifying their needs, connecting organizations, and mobilizing resources quickly and responsibly.
What is We Stand with Colombia?
We Stand with Colombia is FutbolTech's campaign to mobilize donations, companies, organizations, and international allies for communities affected by the earthquake.
The response is initially focused on Chocó, Risaralda, and Valle del Cauca. In these three departments, our existing relationships and community programs allow us to work directly with local organizations, listen to their priorities, and follow up on the support delivered.
The campaign is grounded in a clear decision: strengthen the people who already know the territory and work alongside their communities every day.
In Risaralda, we support programs such as Malabareando las Calles and Huellas de Amor. In Valle del Cauca, the network includes communities in Sevilla and the Hogar del Anciano Abandonado, led by Ana Beiba Lasso in Cali. In Chocó, we are advancing alongside community programs in areas where geographic conditions make relief efforts more difficult.
Turning solidarity into concrete action
The campaign is already becoming tangible support. FutbolTech is arranging 50 pairs of soccer cleats for communities in Chocó and preparing a brigade to deliver nutritional supplements in the field.
Herpeñol joined the response with a contribution of 200 containers of nutritional supplements for humanitarian activities. The response also includes psychosocial support, donation management, and coordination with organizations that understand the specific needs of each community.
Every action begins with local listening. This helps prioritize resources, avoid fragmented efforts, and strengthen the capacity that already exists in each area.
A network connecting Colombia, the United States, and Uruguay
Psychology Without Borders Colombia is joining with psychosocial support and donation management for affected communities. Pitch Room, from Uruguay, is providing strategic guidance to the campaign, while Vantage, from the United States, is supporting international mobilization.
Herpeñol is contributing nutritional supplements, and Dell is opening a channel for private-sector participation.
The network also benefits from the support of Dealer Scanning and Empower. These companies strengthen FutbolTech's institutional capacity to carry out social initiatives and support communities. Their ongoing backing helps maintain a structure capable of responding to emergencies like the one Colombia is facing today.
How is Dell supporting the response?
FutbolTech's work with Dell is being carried out through Benevity, a platform used to channel corporate social impact programs and donations.
Through this mechanism, Dell employees and donors can contribute to the campaign. Benevity provides a secure route to mobilize resources and connect private-sector participation with the humanitarian response.

The emergency continues, and the network can grow
The first week made one thing clear: responding to an emergency requires trust, coordination, and a local presence. We Stand with Colombia brings these capacities together so that every contribution becomes meaningful support.
In the coming weeks, we will continue coordinating allies, securing supplies, and supporting the community organizations serving children, families, older adults, and other affected groups.
Companies, organizations, and individuals can join with donations, supplies, professional services, or connections that help expand the response. Colombia needs us to work as one team. Today, more than ever, we stand with Colombia.
