Ágape Soccer Academy joins FutbolTech as a strategic partner

Miami-based Ágape Soccer Academy has joined FutbolTech as a new strategic partner as part of the We Stand with Colombia campaign. Its director, Diego Pérez, traveled to Colombia with his son Adrián to express solidarity with communities affected by the earthquake and take part in sports, educational, and humanitarian activities.

The partnership also opens a new area of collaboration: the development of English on the Field, a program that will combine language learning with soccer drills, instructions, and experiences for children, young people, and coaches.

How did Ágape Soccer Academy become involved with FutbolTech?

Diego Pérez's visit consolidated a relationship the two organizations had been building. Ágape will contribute its experience in sports training, education, and support to different programs across the FutbolTech network.

One of the first agreements is to work together on English on the Field. The program aims to give coaches and organizations in different countries access to content that connects sports and education in a practical way within the everyday setting of a training session.

Turning solidarity into concrete action

The visit took place as part of We Stand with Colombia, FutbolTech's campaign to support communities affected by the earthquake. Diego Pérez and his son Adrián wanted to understand the families' circumstances firsthand and contribute tangible support through Ágape Soccer Academy.

During the visit, food packages were delivered to affected families along with soccer balls and sports equipment. Ágape is now part of a network of organizations, companies, coaches, and partners contributing from different locations to relief and recovery efforts.

One of the activities took place in Sevilla, Valle del Cauca, a municipality affected by the earthquake. There, Diego Pérez led a training session with Semillas Verdes, a soccer school beginning its journey as a new FutbolTech team.

The session created an opportunity to share methodology, drills, and experiences with children and coaches. It also helped lay the groundwork for new educational activities within FutbolTech's comprehensive model.

Semillas Verdes supports approximately 130 children and their families and will be one of the programs where FutbolTech continues to advance sports, educational, and community initiatives.

Bringing English onto the field

FutbolTech and Ágape Soccer Academy will begin building a joint strategy for English on the Field. The program will use real training situations to introduce English vocabulary, instructions, and foundational content.

Diego Pérez's experience as a coach and language professional will be central to the process. The goal is to make English practical and accessible, especially in communities where opportunities to learn the language are limited.

The first step in a long-term relationship

The partnership will continue through content development, support for coaches, and new initiatives connecting teams across different regions. The visit to Colombia was the first visible step in a relationship that brings together sports, education, and solidarity.

FutbolTech will continue bringing together partners that want to join We Stand with Colombia and an international network committed to creating new opportunities for children, young people, and families through soccer.
