Andrés Alberto Aguas was born in Buenaventura, Valle del Cauca, Colombia, where he discovered his passion for soccer at a very young age by participating in local tournaments. At the age of five, his family moved to Palmira, the city where he grew up and graduated from Seminario Diocesano de Cristo Sacerdote High School in the year 2000.
On August 21 of that same year, he emigrated to the United States with the goal of learning English, a country he has now called home for over two decades. During this time he continued playing amateur soccer but ultimately chose to focus on education and professional development. He graduated from Florida International University (FIU) with a degree in International Business & Management.
While attending college, he began his corporate career in the insurance industry. By the age of 25, he had already developed into a leadership role, managing teams of up to 50 people and representing his company internationally in Mexico, the Dominican Republic, Panama, Denmark, and Guatemala.
With the experience gained, Andrés and his wife founded their own insurance agency in Atlanta, Georgia — a project that has become their greatest passion. Through it, he focuses on serving the Hispanic community, leading through financial education and community guidance.
As an ambassador for Futbol Tech, Andrés is committed to promoting the organization’s vision and mission, helping more families benefit through sports and education.
