Was born in Miami, Florida, and raised in Bogotá, Colombia, where his love for the game grew through street soccer, community fields, and competitive youth environments. Being shaped by two soccer cultures gave him a broad perspective on the game and player development, blending creativity and passion with structure and discipline.

He later played at the collegiate level for Santa Monica College, where he continued to learn the demands of competitive soccer and the importance of discipline, teamwork, and consistency. Those experiences helped guide his approach to coaching, with an emphasis on technical quality, decision making, confidence on the ball, and supporting each player’s overall growth.

Now based in South Florida, Coach Juan works as a youth soccer coach, mentor, educator, recruiter, and scout. He has been fortunate to learn and work alongside coaches and programs such as Soccer Stars (Director of Coaching, Youth Soccer U8–U12), 

South Florida Football Academy, Boca United FC, and Florida Atlantic University Soccer Camps. He values building strong relationships with players and families and aims to create environments where effort, accountability, and growth are encouraged every day.

In addition to team coaching, he founded JFJ Performance Training and co-founded The Soccer Lab: Intensive Camps to provide extra opportunities for players who want to improve. He is also involved in player identification and pathways as a Scout and Recruiter for Pathway Schools of Soccer. Through his foundation, Goals For Dreams, he works to give back by helping provide access, equipment, and opportunities to young players in need. As a FutbolTech Ambassador, Coach Juan aligns with an organization that shares his belief in using football as a tool for opportunity, education, and social impact. Together, he is committed to helping young players dream bigger while developing the tools, confidence, and support systems needed to turn those dreams into real opportunities—using the game to build character, leadership, and lasting change within the community.
